Short Week for Congress – Congress is scheduled to adjourn on Wednesday for the Democratic legislative retreat. Before leaving Washington, Congress is expected to consider a six-week continuing appropriations resolution (CR). The details of the CR are not yet available. Congress has been funding the federal government through CRs during FY2018 to allow GOP and Democratic Congressional leadership to negotiate a two-year budget deal on defense and domestic spending. The current CR expires on Thursday, February 8.
